Nationwide Section 8 Housing Search

Section8Finder helps renters locate Section 8 housing, Housing Choice Voucher friendly rentals, and affordable housing listings across the United States. Whether you are moving within your current PHA jurisdiction or porting a voucher to a new city, you can browse resources by state and metro area, review waitlist guidance, and find links to local housing authorities.

The Housing Choice Voucher program is federally funded but locally administered. That means waitlist openings, income limits, and application steps differ in every community. Our state and city hubs summarize where to apply, how to search for voucher-accepting landlords, and which housing authorities serve your area.

Search Affordable Rentals by Location

Use housing search to explore available units, or start with Section 8 by State if you are still researching where to apply. For waitlist-specific questions, visit our waitlists guide and confirm all deadlines directly with your PHA.

Section8Finder is an independent resource and is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). We do not administer vouchers or maintain official waitlists.
